The Heart Behind The Mission
Hey Girl, I’m De’Stanye Swittenberg, LCSW.
My work centers on helping women become unframed and unfiltered, meaning we gently peel back the masks, roles, and expectations you’ve learned to survive under. We talk about the Superwoman schema: the pressure to be strong, selfless, emotionally contained, and always okay, even when you’re exhausted. In this space, you don’t have to perform resilience. You get to rest in honesty.
Therapy with me feels real, affirming, and human. We can laugh, be tender, name the hard stuff, and still honor your strength—without letting it cost you your peace. This is a space where your feelings don’t need to be polished, explained, or minimized. Healing is part of the glow-up…
De’Stanye holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology: Cognitive Behavioral Neuroscience and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from George Mason University.
Clinically, De’Stanye draws from:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Strength-Based Therapy
Psychodynamic Therapy
While these tools guide the work, De’Stanye always tailor therapy to you—your needs, your voice, your story.

Your initial consultation is a brief, no-pressure conversation designed to help us get to know each other and determine if Beyond the Frame Therapeutics is the right fit for your needs.
During this call, we’ll:
Answer Your Questions: You can ask about our approach, specialties, session format, fees, and anything else on your mind.
Discuss Your Goals: Share a bit about what brought you here and what you hope to achieve through therapy.
Explain the Process: We’ll walk you through what working together looks like, including session frequency and what you can expect in therapy.
-
The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some clients come for a few months to work on a specific issue, while others stay longer for deeper, ongoing work. We’ll collaborate to check in on your goals and progress along the way.

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or unsure how to move forward — therapy may be a helpful space to begin exploring those experiences. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people come to therapy to process transitions, improve self-esteem, navigate relationships, or reconnect with their sense of self.
At Beyond the Frame Therapeutics, we believe therapy is for anyone curious about growth and healing. If you're asking yourself this question, it's a sign you're already engaging in self-reflection — and that’s a meaningful first step.
